Oh dear...I'm so behind with my blog :-/
Looking through my photo albums I've so much to blog about so the best thing to do I reckon is start from the beginning.
Since my daughter finished her zig-zag quilt I made a start on quilting this quilt I call 'Sunflower Hearts'
I bought the batik fabric from Craft & Quilts and wanted to make something that would represent my love for bright batik fabrics!
I cut the batik and the white backing fabric into 2 1/2" squares and laid them out on a board, sewing them together in diagonal rows.
I then cut off the points, added an inner border and outer border and layered up for quilting.
I started quilting...
...and that's as far as I've got!!
I'm very pleased with the heart design though...I just need to get motivated to finish it!
In the meantime I've finished a batik jelly roll quilt,
started another batik quilt, started a very easy quilt using some more fabric I bought from the FOQ,
made 2 e-reader covers,
started a couple of journal quilts,
made some postcards & ATCs,
wrote an article for a magazine (more about that in another post)...
...and today I cut out the fabric for yet another quilt I couldn't wait to start!
Well you can't be called a real quilter unless you've got a few UFOs...can you ;-)
And that's what I've been up to...
:-) x
